PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Alexandra Kowalczyk is a United States Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Virginia (VA). She graduated from the University of Florida with Master´s and Bachelor´s Degrees in Accounting. After graduating and successfully passing the CPA exam, she started working at one of the “Big Four” Accounting Firms in the United States (KPMG LLP) in the Washington D.C. metro area (Tysons Corner). As a federal tax preparer and later as a federal senior tax associate at KPMG, she mastered expertise in federal and state taxes for diverse clients with different business structures and operating in different industries (real estate, financial services, and manufacturing).
She provides US income tax compliance and consulting services to US citizens and residents living in El Salvador or abroad. She has experience in US international taxation and assists US taxpayers comply with their US tax obligations. Currently, she is the only person in El Salvador holding the US CPA credentials and has been helping US expats with their US taxes since 2017. Besides helping clients comply with their US obligations, she also works as a tax advisor for complex US tax matters. Besides working as an US international tax consultant, she also does freelance tax work for small accounting firms based in the US. She speaks English and Spanish fluently.
Alexandra is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA).
