Alexandra Kowalczyk is a United States Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Virginia (VA). She provides US income tax compliance and consulting services to US citizens or residents living in El Salvador (in-person services) or Central America (virtual services). She has experience in US international taxation and assists US individual taxpayers in filing the Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) and Form 8938 in order to comply with Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).
Alexandra graduated from the University of Florida with Master´s and Bachelor´s Degrees in Accounting. After graduating and successfully passing the CPA exam, she started working at one of the “Big Four” Accounting Firms in the United States (KPMG LLP) as a federal tax preparer and later as a federal senior tax associate in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area (McLean, Virginia). While working at KPMG LLP, she obtained federal and state tax experience for diverse clients with different business structures operating in real estate, financial services, and manufacturing industries. After working for KPMG LLP, Alexandra married and decided to move back to El Salvador where she currently resides, which is also the country of her birth. She speaks English and Spanish fluently.
Alexandra is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA, por sus siglas en inglés) and active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA).
